Estes Park Golf Near Mountain Shadows Resort

Recognized in The Golf Book of Lists as the 6th most beautiful course in the United States, the Estes Park Golf Course features 18 holes and is open from mid-April through October.  In addition to its surrounding scenery, the course is located near the boundaries of Rocky Mountain National Park and is famous for being visited by herds of deer and elk.  (Some of these weigh up to 600 pounds—an interesting hazard to negotiate around!)  Coyote accompanying these herds have also been known to observe you play.

Lake Estes Golf Course, a set of 9 holes located just 2 miles away from the main course, can make a good round for less experienced golfers—or golfers with less time to play.  This course is open year round; during the summer it can be an accompaniment to your first 18 holes, while during winter months you can also often see herds of elk on its fairways.

Both courses have a practice putting green, chipping area and natural grass.
